Alleycat Asset Acquisitions
Your Real-Life Main Character Video Game Experience.

Enter an extremely temporary city in the Mojave Desert
Once a year, thousands of people gather for four days in a temporary cyberpunk city. Unlike most LARP events, Neotropolis demands one rule above all: no cosplay, only original characters.
Alleycat gives players the chance to live their bounty hunter or outlaw dreams as if they've stepped into a first-person video game—with complete freedom to customize who they are.
We provide the framework, but it's the players who bring the world to life.
At Neotropolis 2025, over 3,800 matches were played across a four day festival—every one of them a unique human interaction.
Emergence Theory
Complex stories can grow from simple tools and rules. By combining the right ingredients, we create environments where players make the magic happen.
Sandbox Systems: Accessibility Guides Simplicity
Accessibility is not an afterthought but a guiding principle
Simple = intuitive, approachable, playable by anyone.
Accessibility ensures that the tools don't get in the way of the human interaction.
With simple tools and rules, the attendees can create characters, stories, and connections that transform a weekend into something extraordinary.
We create large-scale, interactive sandboxes where stories emerge from human connection—not from scripted rules.
Sandbox vs. Linear Storytelling:
Linear Game
Scripted plot with limited choices. Players follow a predetermined path with few opportunities to create their own narrative.
Sandbox Experience
Open-world game where players write their own stories.
Why this matters:
In the Alleycat universe, players don't just follow a story—they become the story.
The result is a living sandbox: strangers become friends, lore deepens each year, and the event continues online through fan art, collaborations, and a community that refuses to end when the city disappears.
Why It Matters
Human connection is the core. We design systems, not scripts.
Concept Design
Sandbox systems & rulesets that create emergent storytelling opportunities.
Hardware + Software
PDNs, scoreboards, interactive rigs that bring the experience to life.
On-Site Production
Execution at festivals/events with full support and maintenance.
These are frameworks for others to play in, not prescriptive performances.
Alleycat Wrapped: All the 2025 Data
Immersive design is about more than just tech—it's about creating space for people to connect, play, and write their own stories. If you're looking to create an experience where every participant feels like the main character, let's build your sandbox together.
